SCA  A100: Introduction to Living and Working in the Strata Community

This comprehensive strata community management course provides a practical overview for new managers, an essential review for veteran managers and an advanced course for committee members.

You’ll receive a participant guide filled with sample forms and time-saving tips to support you working with homeowners, vendors, managers and other professionals.

This training is available face-to-face or online.

You may complete the A100 Fast-Track (if elligible) otherwise must enrol and pass A100 online or in-person.

The fast track option is for ‘assessment only’ and available to SCA Members who have been an SCA Member and managed portfolios for a minimum 2 years and/or hold a Cert IV in Property Services (Operations) or Cert IV Strata Community Management.

Certificate IV Strata Community Management CPP40521

The Certificate IV Strata Community Management is an industry accredited program for professionals working in Strata Management. This course is designed for those who may want to further their career in strata management as a licensed strata manager.

You may be assessed for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for one or more of the modules. This means you will not need to attend training for that module. Assessment is undertaken on an individual basis and determination of RPL is based on third party evidence of your previous learning and work experience.

Diploma of Property (Agency Management – Strata)

The Diploma of Property (Agency Management – Strata) contains twelve (12) Units of Competency.  If you have been working in the property industry anywhere in Australia, you will already have much  of the knowledge and skills that are covered in this training program.

The purpose of this higher level qualification is to provide you with advanced skills relating to the management and operation of a property business, not simply the functions of selling or managing properties.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

SCA (Vic) supports Strata Community Managers and Strata Suppliers to develop and expand their professional competence to meet industry standard obligations, thereby maintaining and improving an effective and competent service to their clients.

Educational activities you attend provide you CPD Points relevant to time. This information is collated in our iMIS database under your own individual member record.

Members can apply to have CPD points applied for up to 50% of non-SCA training.

SCA (Vic) Committee Training

SCA (Vic) offers two Committee Training courses: One tailored for strata managers and one for committee members; both focused on good governance and supporting compliance with strata legislation and stakeholder expectations. The training clearly explains what is a legal obligation versus what is optional or best practice.

Whether you are a manager supporting committees or a committee member (new or experienced), the relevant course will strengthen your knowledge and improve the governance of your strata community.
